The NexFix NSO screw system consists of self-drilling and self-tapping snap-off screws used for fracture fixation and/or osteotomies involving small bones. The purpose of the NSO instrumentation is to reduce and hold the bone fragments in the desired position to provide stable fixation and so permit bone reconstruction.
.

Indications
  • Osteotomies (Weil, or osteotomies other than lateral metatarsals)
  • Small bone fractures
Benefits
  • Two diameters – 2 mm and 2.7 mm incorporating a cancellous bone thread suitable for various bone qualities.
  • The screw has an extremely fine tip which facilitates positioning and cortical drilling.
  • Titanium alloy for optimum biocompatibility and controlled snap-off.
  • The snap-off zone is located inside the screw head: this zone does not cause irritation by friction of the peripheral tissue around the screw head and, when used in Weil osteotomy, the extensor tendons.
  • Instrumentation specifically designed for Weil osteotomy.
  • Self-retaining screwdriver with 3 radial notches enables the implant to be handled easily and screwed without a power tool.
